BR11: Blue fins

Suddenly, they see another fin in the water. A blue fin. It is a dolphin! It is the beautiful, blue dolphin. The dolphin is swimming towards the shark. The dolphin hits the shark. (p. 14)




     Did you have a chance to meet dolphins? Probably, most people meet them at an aquarium. Perhaps, some people see them in the sea. In my cases, I saw them with my grandmother when I was a elementary school student.

     In this book, the main characters are Jen and Rick who is Jen's boyfriend. One day, they were on the beach but Rick went surfing and Jen went swimming underwater. When she was swimming there, she found a lot of plants and fish. However, she found a creature, too. It was a dolphin! It couldn't swim because the net  caught it. So, she helped it. As a result, it could swim again. Next day everyone swam on the beach, but suddenly, a shark showed up. Unfortunately, Jen and Rick didn't still escape from the shark. What will become of them?

     This book is in the Macmillan series. It consists of clear illustrations and conversations. I think you can enjoy reading the book. Please try it!

      I read the book named "Persuasion" written by Jane Austen. It is a love story but mixing with regret or despair feelings. Two main characters appear in the book and their name is Anne Eliot and William Wentworth. They love each other and also want to get married, but the marriage cannot come true. Wentworth has no enough money at that time, so Anne's family disagree with their marriage. Anne follows the opinions of those around her and she takes him leave.      Anne still love Wentworth and she regrets her decision of those days strongly although the time passes. However, they meet again after many years and his condition is different than before. He rises in life and have a lot of money. 9. The mill on the floss

     I read the book called "Mill on the floss". This work is written by George Eliot, one of a famous writer all over the world. The main character of this book is Maggie who is a very beautiful and intelligent girl. Tom who is Maggie's brother is also an important character in the story.      Throughout the story, Maggie is loved by two men, but those relationships do not go well. At first, one man is Philip. He is kind person, so Maggie and him fall in love each other. However, their fathers are rival relationship, so they cannot get married and they are not allowed to meet freely at the same time. The other person's name is Stephan. Although Maggie loves him, he is a boyfriend of her precious cousin. That is why, she gives up loving him.      After those her romance experiences, Maggie decides to live by herself without getting married with anyone. 8. The house on the hill

     I read the book named "The house on the hill". It is a love story but a little sad in the end. There are two main characters in this book. One person is Paul who is a poor boy living in a little brown house. The other person is Maria who is a rich girl living in a big white house on the hill.      One day, when Paul walked along the river, he met Marie. She was very beautiful, so he fall in love her and talked with her. As time passed, they were close to each other and at last they desided to get married. However, one problem was happened and as a result, Paul must leave Marie. He could not give up her, so he tried to become a writer and be in rich. After some years later, he fullfilled his long-held desire, but Marie's personality was differrent from the past...      If you read this book, you will be surprised at the ending and you can also think about the importance of considering about people's personality.
