The main character of this book is Arthur Kipps who works in London as a solicitor and he tells his experiences in the story. One day, he had to attend a funeral instead of his boss and went to Eel Marsh House stuated in Yorkshire. The house was a dead woman's one and people did not get closer it because something strange occurrences happened around it. When he attended her funeral, he saw a woman who wears a black cloth that looked old-fashioned and her face was white and her eyes looked scary. He asked people around him about the woman but nobody answered it and faces of them stiffed of it, too. This book is in the Macmillan readers series. It is a little difficult to read in a short time but the story should make us be thrilled. In my opinion, the last scene in this book made me so scary. If you have a time, please try it!
